Jese and Grandpa Verne's Birthday Party!

Today is May 30 (Saturday) and it turned out to be a wonderful day for the party. Jese was so excited for his very own Birthday Cake, that he chose to be 'Nemo' and Vanilla (Banilla in Jese lingo). He is now 5 years old and very proud to be too.
I made the yellow cake from scratch and gave it bavarian cream filling with butter-cream icing. For anyone who is interested... I did a reverse butter-cream transfer image of nemo and a swirl of color directly on the cake for the water. I know that I'm crazy, but it sure is fun to be crazy, so why not?

Dad (Grandpa Verne) requested a chocolate cake for his special day... don't know if I should say how old he is. He got some khaki shirt, since he can never have enough, some tools, and a book about Washington that he didn't want to put down after he opened it.

Even though the turn out was not so great we all had a lot of fun. Mom (Nancy) made homemade potato salad and homemade fruit salad. YUMMY!!! We all had hotdog, chips, and strawberry lemonade. Time to add another notch to the belt.
